[At least his... roommate who has conveniently walked into the room is able to talk. He has come back from some unidentified place safe and sound. Upon seeing Leon, he smiles.]
[Leon is there. In the room that had been all his just a few days ago. He is still looking at the books, his arms are crossed. Yes, this still feels suspicious to him but it seems he is not alone. He glances over towards the room's entrance. It was that person, Ion. Who let him in?]
What are you doing here? [That is almost like a greeting, except it isn't.]
[That isn't exactly the answer he was looking for but it does solve one mystery. So it is Ion who is staying in this room now. He still prefers having it to himself but he won't complain. Things could always be worst somehow.]
[Oh, right, he really hasn't expressed enough tact towards this situation. This does seem a little sudden with how things have been set up.]
I'm looking forward to being roommates with you. I hope you don't mind that I do keep a pet turtle but he stays in his tank for a majority of the time.
[He will take a moment here to stare at Ion's smiling face. What a strange child. Surely someone out there is taking advantage of such kindness. Not his problem but somehow it felt bothersome.]
[The mystery of the books has been solved. Not that it was that big of a mystery. It did not take much thinking for him to realize who the books were from. After all he only ever mentioned them to Ion. He could appreciate the gesture but he isn't about to start thinking of it as being something friendly. That entailed things he would much rather avoid.]

I've decided to return to the house, that's all. Did you have a good day?

It was fine.

[Maybe Leon is allergic or turtles upset him.]

And what happens when it is out of his tank?

[He's not about to bore on about water turtles unless asked. Not that it's boring but he just wouldn't be answering Leon's question.
There's something else that needs to be addressed, for now.]
I hope at least one of the books will be to your liking.

They are just fine, Ion.
What I mean is, thank you.
